Little Cooks

Our Little Cooks classes are aimed at 4 to 7 year olds* and provide an excellent after school activity where we provide everything, including aprons, so all you need to do it turn up and have some fun.

Each week the children will make their own sweet or savoury dish, from scratch, using a variety of baking techniques. They will be responsible for weighing out at least one of their ingredients each week and unbeknown to the little cooks they will also be learning lots more during a class - we’ll sneak in some maths, reading, science and geography!

With a large selection of different sweet and savoury recipes they will have the opportunity to learn a variety of baking techniques - from chopping to whisking we do it all! Our classes are very hands on - through this experience the children will begin to learn important life skills which will give them the basic skills on which to build in the future.

Whilst their dish cooks our Little Cooks are kept busy learning where different foods come from as well as sampling some of the ingredients we use each week.

Classes are based in a large hall at Gravesend Sea Cadet Unit, North Kent College, Lower Higham Road, Gravesend, Kent.
